About

Our Flagship Medium Roast that will make you smile with its buttery fragrance and delicious aroma. Bold, balanced to perfection, and masterfully roasted, Sierra is a reflection of the intensity and purity of Honduran coffee.

Sierra’s origin is the Region of Copan in Western Honduras. 1200 years ago this area was heavily populated by Mayan Empires with their glorious cities and magnificent pyramids. The sierras surrounding the vast valleys overlook the old cities that during their peak periods had the same passion of today’s modern cities. The Mayans were some of the first ones to process cacao into what today we know as chocolate. According to the Smithsonian, “Cacao figured into pre-modern Maya society as a sacred food, sign of prestige, social centerpiece, and cultural touchstone”. The mountains where coffee is now produced used to be a sacred place where cacao was grown. Sierra’s flavor notes are marked by this great history and outstanding cinnamon and chocolate notes.
